Eugene's lair
Eugene with flowers He is Eugene, my first (and I hope not the last) hamster. Sadly, he passed in year 1994., at the age of almost four years. He sleeps now in white cloud bedding, instead of tissue paper.
He came to me as a Christmas gift, and in the first days I didn't know, what he needs. But I gave him a slice of apple, and he immediately started devouring it. He looked like a baby who is eating a slice of watermelon... Then, we became friends.
His favourite food was sunflower seed, but he also loved nuts, apple, cucumber, carrot (only when cucumber is not available, else he didn't touch it at all), and other vegetables. Sometimes I gave him biscuits, a bit of boiled egg, or ham. He hated the pet shop's special hamster food, so I didn't force it too much. He was very clean, and if I forget his home's cleaning, he gave little 'pak-pak' woices, to make me remember. Our games included running on the floor, climbing on objects (or in case vanishing behind them), but also helped me writing programs on my computer, and loved chewing my books. (Red and White was his favourite...) I miss him very much. Eugene, come here!

I began surfing the Web and searching hamstery resources about five years ago, and it became my hobby. I collect hamster pictures and links.
